Lary has been an adopted son of Idaho for 32 years. Since 1980, he has been a lawyer with the law firm of Hopkins Roden Crockett Hansen & Hoopes in Idaho Falls and has helped thousands of clients with a wide variety of legal problems. His wife, Louise, was raised in Idaho with roots in Sugar City and Boise. Since 1998, she has taught elementary school at Ucon Elementary and Taylor’s Crossing Charter School. They live on a small farm between Ucon and Rigby, where they and their seven children have come to understand the challenges and strengths of the agricultural community.

- Partner with our national leaders to increase the availability and affordability of health insurance for all people
- Bring rationality and fairness back to our tax system by weakening the control of special interests
- Develop a fair and sustainable response to the increasing acceptance of same-sex relationships
- Develop a strategy to address the enormous backlog of needed infrastructure improvements
- Make wise use of our natural resources and conserve them for future generations
- Expand the use of Drug Courts and Mental Health Courts to reverse the growth and expense of our prison populations
- Bring honest and fair debate of the issues back to the Legislature
